 DEBORAH THE ISRAELITE JUDGE Judge Deborah was a God-fearing woman who had remained faithful to God throughout the backsliding of Israel.  The sin of Israel grieved her and she tried to bring them back to the Lord.  She was known as the Mother of Israel (Judges 5:7) for her wisdom and compassion.  Deborah listened to the Lord’s instructions so He elevated her to lead the nation’s government militarily and spiritually.  God gave her the strategy to defeat the evil enemy Jabin.  JEZEBEL AND LILITH Jezebel was one of the wickedest women mentioned in the Bible.  She was heavily involved in witchcraft and prostitution (2 Kings 9:22).  She murdered hundreds of the Lord’s prophets but Obadiah managed to rescue one hundred of them by hiding them in caves.  ‘King Ahab called Obadiah who was in charge of the household.  Obadiah feared the Lord greatly. When Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took one hundred prophets and hid them by fifty in a cave and fed them with bread and water’      (1 Kings 18:3&4). CHRISTIANITY IS UNDER ATTACK   There are many thousands of truly genuine, dedicated, holy, modern-day Disciples who are wholly focused on the Lord Jesus and serving Him but we are under increasing attack from three sides; from weak carnal, ‘lukewarm’ ‘religious’ Christians, from invisible evil forces or from the unsaved and ungodly who hate all things holy.  True Christian Disciples whom Jesus referred to as Sheep or Wheat, who know His voice are enduring increasing persecution.  “My Sheep hear My voice.  I know them and they follow Me” (John10:27).  In this modern world Christians are slowly becoming the minority and are being persecuted, vilified, abusedand mocked.  Read more at: www.bibleabookoftruth.com
