WHERE EVIL SPIRITS CAME FROM AND HOW TO CAST THEM OUT

‘In the synagogue there was a man who had an unclean spirit and he cried out with a loud scream, “Ahh! What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know Who You are – the Holy One of God!” Jesus rebuked him saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!”
When the demon had thrown the man down, it came out of him without injuring him.
They were amazed and said, “What Word is this? For with authority and power He commands the evil spirits and they come out?’” (Luke 4:33 to 36).

We have written this Bible study for your information, solely to deal with the subject of the devil, demons and how to take authority over them.
We are not to gloat about the God-given authority we have over the devil. ‘I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power the enemy possesses and nothing will in any way harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven’ (Luke 10:19 & 20), nor are we permitted to call the devil names. ‘When the Archangel Michael contending with the devil, argued about the body of Moses, he dared not bring an abusive condemnation against him but simply said, “The Lord rebuke you’” (Jude 9).
If the Lord God Himself, Jesus and Michael speak to the devil calmly and without harsh words or name calling, so should we.
Christians must not become puffed up with pride because we have been given authority over the devil and all the powers of darkness. We need to keep in mind, it was pride that caused the devil’s downfall.
We should always cast out demons the same way Jesus did by speaking with authority, telling the demons to be quiet and ordering them to come out of the person. We cannot improve on His method.
