CHRISTIANS AND ALCOHOL

Image
CHRISTIANS AND ALCOHOL Although the Bible does not say in a direct way, drinking alcohol is sin, the scriptures make it very clear drinkers will end up damned, people who associate themselves with drinkers will be damned and genuine believers are not to be companions with people who drink.  That is very powerful teaching and all Christians should totally abstain or face eternal judgement. It is their choice but if they choose to drink they cannot ever cry out, “Lord, Lord,” because you have been warned. Those with spiritual ears, listen to what the Voice of Lord is saying and do not resist the Voice of the Holy Spirit. ‘You stiff-necked and uncommitted in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit!’ (Acts 7:51). WE DO NOT NEED TO KEEP HEBREW LAWS REGARDING FOOD

Image
WE DO NOT NEED TO KEEP HEBREW LAWS REGARDING FOOD Just as Jewish people do not have to become Christians, neither do Gentiles have to live as Jewish people do.  We are free to enjoy eating good food and we can enjoy fellowship with the Holy Spirit in all righteousness, peace and joy.  ‘The Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking but about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit’ (Romans 14:17). KNOWING THE HEART OF GOD AND LISTENING TO HIS VOICE

Image
KNOWING THE HEART OF GOD AND LISTENING TO HIS VOICE God is more delighted when we obey Him than when we give any type of sacrifice.  ‘Does God have great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, more than you obeying the voice of God?  Behold, to obey God is better than sacrifice and to listen to Him is better than the fat of rams, for rebellion is as serious as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as evil as idolatry and teraphim (seeking the future similar to seeking horoscopes)’ (1 Samuel 15:22 & 23).  ‘Guard your steps (behaviour) when you go to the house of God, for to draw near to listen (to the Word of God) is better than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know they do evil’ (Ecclesastes 5:1). HISTORY OF THE CALENDAR

Image
HISTORY OF THE CALENDAR Not having a method to measure time and seasons would cause chaos.  The divisions of the years, months,  days, hours and minutes were wisely given to us by God, according to the seasons to avoid the chaos.  The  first month in the Hebrew calendar is not January.  The Lord said, "This month will be to you the beginning of  months.  It will be the first month of the year to you” (Exodus 12:2).  The month the Lord was referring to was  the month of Nisan (Esther 3:7), also called Aviv or Abib (Deuteronomy 16:1), which coincides with the  months of March and April in the Gregorian calendar used worldwide.  Before the Lord gave the Hebrew  calendar to His people, pagan nations already observed their own calendars.   Read more at : www.bibleabookoftruth.com
