The Bible A Book Of Truth

WHERE EVIL SPIRITS CAME FROM AND HOW TO CAST THEM OUT ‘In the synagogue there was a man who had an unclean spirit and he cried out with a loud scream, “Ahh! What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know Who You are – the Holy One of God!” Jesus rebuked him saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!”  When the demon had thrown the man down, it came out of him without injuring him.  They were amazed and said, “What Word is this? For with authority and power He commands the evil spirits and they come out?’” (Luke 4:33 to 36). We have written this Bible study for your information, solely to deal with the subject of the devil, demons and how to take authority over them.  We are not to gloat about the God-given authority we have over the devil. ‘I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power the enemy possesses and nothing will in any way harm you. Nevertheless, do not ...

EXPOSING SOME MYTHS REGARDING THE BIBLE Most certainly the Bible is for everyone, and anyone who is able to read can read the Bible and those who can hear can listen to its teachings.  The simple things in the Bible can be understood by anyone who reads or hears it, but the deep spiritual meanings are hidden unless God Himself opens their spiritual eyes so they can understand. ‘He opened up their minds so they could understand the Scriptures’ (Luke 24:45).  Unless God opens our spiritual eyes and ears we cannot fully understand what is written.  Many Christians have trouble understanding what God is really saying, as did the twelve disciples. ‘They understood nothing of these things.  His words were a mystery and were hidden from them, and they did not comprehend what He was telling them’ (Luke 18:34).  As a consequence of their inability to comprehend the spiritual meanings hidden deep within the pages of...

WOMEN SHOULD NOT HAVE AUTHORITY OVER MEN IN CHURCH ‘Wives, be subject to your own husbands as a service to the Lord. The husband is the head of the wife as  Jesus is Head of the church, Himself the Saviour of His Body. As the church is subject to Jesus, so let wives  be subject in everything to their husbands’ (Ephesians 5:22 to 24). This is an issue that can keep people out  of God’s will and therefore out His Kingdom.  The Lord is not pleased with women’s liberation because  women should never have authority over men.  Sadly though, women’s liberation has seeped into the  modern-day church, and God’s teaching on this subject is discarded by many as just being the culture of the  day during the writing of the New Testament.  That attitude is so wrong because that infers some of the Bible  is outdated, something we all know is untrue.  The Lord expects women to be submissive to their husbands  today, just as they wer...

HOW TO HAVE HOPE IN A WORLD THAT IS FALLING APART ‘Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the time of the Son of Man. People ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah entered the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same as in the days of Lot. People ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, but on the very day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. That is the way it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed’ (Luke 17:26 to 30). Many people are finding it hard to keep hope alive in this increasingly troubled world. We are facing a rise in lawlessness, difficulties and confusion as the end of this age of grace draws to a close and the age of the Messiah is fast approaching.  Our only hope is in our Messiah.  Hold fast to Yeshua and we will see our hope rewarded in the Kingdom.  www.bibleabo...

FACTS ABOUT CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS ‘ Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? What  fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony can there be between the purity of Jesus and the  devil? What has a believer in common with an unbeliever? What agreement can there be between a temple  of God and idols? We are the temple of the living God. The Lord God said, “I will dwell among them and will  walk among them. I will be their God and they will be My people, so come out from among the unbelievers  and separate yourselves from them and do not touch any unclean thing then I will receive you. I will be to  you a Father. You will be to Me sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty’” (2 Corinthians 6:14 to 18). This Bible study is about the way Christians combine Christianity with ancient paganism. The general  attitude is, it is okay to do this, yet we can read in the above verses God s...
