 KEEPING THE FAITH WHEN FIGHTING AGAINST EVIL Apostle Paul’s fight was not only against severe persecution, he also had to deal with the devil and invisible evil cohorts that were trying to stop Paul’s amazing evangelism.  The battle or fight we have to endure is not against people, it is against the forces of darkness attempting to stop us from sharing the Gospel message and leading others to Jesus and thus the salvation of souls.  Jesus did not come to save flesh and blood bodies on earth, He came to save souls of mankind for eternity in the Kingdom of God.  LAYING ON OF HANDS The laying on of hands is a symbolic act to represent God Himself to the person who is being prayed for, setting them aside to impart spiritual blessing (Genesis 48:14 to 20; Matthew 19:13 to 15); to impart the Lord’s authority (Numbers 27:18 to 23); to be given a special divine task or holy service (Numbers 8:14; Acts 6:1 to 7; 9:12 & 15); to impart healing (Mark 16:18; Acts 28:8); to receive baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:17; 19:6); to impart Spiritual gifts (1 Timothy 4:14); to send out missionaries (Acts 13:3); to appoint church leaders (Acts 14:23); or to speak an individual prophecy or a word of knowledge (1 Timothy 4:14).  SCRIPTURAL LOVE AND HATE Many people are afraid to talk about hate because they believe all hate is evil.  To hate, abhor or loathe sin and wickedness, is a good thing and as we see in the scriptures, God hates sin and wickedness.  On the other hand, to hate a person is a bad thing because Jesus died for all people (2 Corinthians 5:15).  FACING DEATH WITH THE PEACE OF GOD Do you flinch at the thought or mention of your own death?  Does the fear of death fill you with dread?  Are you trying to squeeze the very last breath out of this life on earth?  If that is you, you need to open your heart to this message.  In our modern Western culture there has been a great deal of effort to erase anything about death that is unpleasant.  People do not like to talk about it.  They do not want to accept it.  Why? Because they are so fearful of their own death.  More pleasant sounding ‘memorial gardens’ or ‘resting place’ has often replaced the words tomb, crypt, mausoleum, gravesite or cemetery.  Before burial, the effects of death are covered by make up so the deceased person looks nicer.  There is one unchanging fact we can never forget – if there has been a conception, one day there will be a death of that person any time from birth to about 120 years.  Death is real, it...

 EXPLAINING CHRISTIAN HELLENISM Hellenism was and still is a Greek-minded ideology and is in complete contrast to Hebrew teachings, language and culture.  That is why all Christians need to learn about and observe the Bible from a Hebrew/Jewish point of view and return to our ‘first love,’ which is the Jewish teachings of the Bible.  This is what Jesus said to the assembly in Ephesus, “I know your works, your toil, perseverance and I know you cannot tolerate evil men … you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake and have not grown weary.  But I have this against you, you have left your first love.  Remember from where you have fallen and repent and do the first works or else I am coming to you swiftly and will move your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent … those who have a (Spiritual) ear, let them hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the assemblies (churches)” (Revelation 2:1 to 5 & 7).  EXPLAINING THE RESURRECTION When humans die our bodies of flesh will be buried, cremated or lost at sea but our soul will be resurrected and given a new eternal body that looks the same as our earthly body just like Jesus had.  However, our new immortal bodies will be perfect, not ravaged by sin, disease or age.
