THE BIBLE VERSION WE CHOSE IS IMPORTANT




The entire Bible was written by several Jewish people who lived over a vast period of time, within the Jewish culture and laws, they usually lived in Israel, ate kosher food, worshipped God, spoke Hebrew and honoured the written Word of God. 
After Jesus established the new church about 2,000 years ago, the apostles went out to preach to Gentiles outside Israel who did not speak Hebrew so the apostles’ writings needed to be translated into various languages. 
Reading a translation is in reality reading an interpretation. 
Learning a new language takes years and it is not practical for everyone to be able to read the Bible in Hebrew, its original language. 
If we read modern versions of the Bible, we may be surprised at how different the translations are.

New topical topic To the foolish politicians who vote for same sex marriage, we Christians must stand up and declare: In the Name of Jesus our Saviour, stop your stupid nonsense. Do you not realise that by passing the law to allow same sex couples to marry, you are bringing God’s wrath and judgement upon your country – upon the people your swore to represent? Do not pass that bill; do not allow same sex couples to marry; do not accept that same sex marriage is okay – because it is not. It is the legal sanctioning of an abomination to God, and that was the turning point in God’s decision to destroy the earth with a flood. If that does not impress you, then perhaps the knowledge that next time God sends His judgement to earth, He will burn the whole earth with fire (Isaiah 66:14 to16; 2 Peter 3:7, 10 & 12). EGYPT'S TEN PLAGUES The Pharaoh in the time of Moses was a hard, stubborn and ruthless man. His heart was very hard and the  Lord hardened his heart even more so.  He would not initially allow the Hebrews to leave Egypt but after ten  horrific plagues, the Pharaoh forced the Hebrews to flee and they took tons of gold, silver, precious stones, flocks, herds and clothing as payment for many years of unpaid slavery.  They were not slaves when they first  went into Egypt, but after Joseph died and a new Pharaoh arose, the Hebrews were then forced to be  slaves.  In spite of their slavery the Hebrews had so many children, at one point in time the Hebrews outnumbered the Egyptians.
