THE SECRET TO LIVING A CONTENTED LIFE


Many people, including many Christians think a contented life is one of wealth, stable job, large home, a new vehicle every few years, good wife/husband, nice children, expensive clothes, good church and being able to get along with the in-laws. 
That is not what the writers of the Bible meant when they refer to contentment. 
Placing our hope in these worldly aspects is a counterfeit view. 
Although not necessarily sinful, that viewpoint can only lead to discontent and overwhelming heartache if a disaster comes along and these gains are suddenly gone.

 THE GREAT TRIBULATION HAS BEGUN ‘These people are those who came out of the Great Tribulation.  They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb so for that reason they are before the throne of God and they serve Him day and night in His temple.  God Who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.  They will never be hungry or thirsty ever again, neither will the sun beat on them nor any heat trouble them for the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of waters of life. OLD THINGS PASS AWAY AS ALL THINGS BECOME NEW ‘If anyone is (grafted) into the Messiah, they are a new (spiritual) creation.  The old things (earthly desires, worldly behaviour) have passed away.  Behold, all things (spiritually) have become new.  All things are of God Who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus the Messiah and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation, namely that God was in Jesus reconciling the world to Himself, not judging them for their trespasses, having committed to us the Word (Gospel) of reconciliation.  We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Jesus as though God were entreating the world by us.  We beg you on behalf of Jesus, be reconciled to God.
